MOCKED UP: Atlanta Falcons POSSIBLE UNIFORMS???
The Atlanta Falcons are rumored to be getting new uniforms for next season. As we always do, we mocked up some potential looks for the dirty birds. Everything you see here is just for fun as we don’t have any current intel on what the falcons are actually going to unveil.
NOTE: THIS POST WAS ORIGINALLY PUT TOGETHER BEFORE ZACH COHEN BROKE THIS NEWS.
We don’t mock up all possible helmet/jersey/pants/socks combinations because there are just too many to do and we’re not big fans of too many monochrome looks (when the jersey and pants are the same color like we just saw from both super bowl participants).
Again, this is for fun so don’t take it too seriously. If we get intel on what’s coming, we’ll share that, too. Otherwise, just enjoy the concepts and share your feedback at the end of this article. We love getting suggestions from fans that we can bring to life.
Also, if you want to try mocking up your own ideas, you can get all the templates seen on this page here.

What’s HAPPENING
The Falcons seem to be poised to move on from their disastrous uniforms that went into effect just 5 seasons ago, which is the minimum length a team must keep a primary uniform set before changing again. Zach Cohen has been providing updates about what he is hearing. Expect an official announcement in the coming months.
Again: THIS POST WAS ORIGINALLY PUT TOGETHER BEFORE ZACH COHEN BROKE THIS NEWS, so our mockups don’t include what he shared.
What’s Likely
As in most cases, fans seem to want throwbacks to become permanent. We wrote about why this may work for the Commanders, but we’re not so sure it’s the best move for the Falcons. The reason? Block numbers. The Falcons are currently the only team in the NFC South that doesn’t have basic block numbers on their jerseys. While a beloved look, many teams have made the move to propietary number sets to create unique looks that identify directly with the team. The Falcons moving back to block would align them with every other team in their division, when it could just make sense to refine their current number set for a cleaner look (see options below in our mockups). Some teams will likely always have block numbers (Raiders, Cowboys) but once a team has moved on from them, going back is not always the move.
For a primary set, we’d like to see something like what we’ve mocked up below. This set features a simplified helmet logo, a modern take on the dirty birds look, and the current number set with basic outlines instead of those funky sideways drop shadows.
Note: we’re not mocking up all possible options for pants/jersey/helmet combos. This is just to get an idea of what main sets could look like.
Memory Lane
Here’s a photo gallery from when the team announced their current uniform set. A look that will forever live in infamy.

RED FOR RIVALRIES???
Could the Falcons go full red for their Rivalries uniform? A lot of fans seems to want gold incorporated somewhere, so we played with that here. Again, we’re not huge fans of the monochrome “Color Rush” looks, but many teams still employ them often.
Here’s a different look at the jersey concept for Rivalries, with metallic gold trim around the numbers. These numbers really work so much better with a basic outline instead of the drop shadow effect.
MORE HELMET OPTIONS
The Falcons really have a lot of great options when it comes to their helmets, for both primary and alternate looks.
Click through the slideshow below to see a bunch of different possibilities that we liked. The black/gold would be a great troll of division rival New Orleans. What if they had an alternate winged helmet???
THOUGHTS?
What are you hoping to see from the Falcons? What about our alternate versions? What would you like us to mock up to see how it looks? Leave your feedback in the comments and we’ll try some of your ideas.
